Nasi Lemak Ujong Pasir 2 is a must-visit culinary gem nestled at 54, Jalan Ujong Pasir in the vibrant city of Melaka, Malaysia. Renowned for its iconic Malaysian breakfast staple, this restaurant specializes in authentic nasi lemak, delivering a harmonious blend of fragrant coconut-infused rice paired with an irresistible medley of traditional accompaniments.
From the moment you step into this spacious second outlet, the inviting aroma of freshly cooked coconut rice and rich sambal enchants the senses. The sambal here is the true star – richly layered with a perfect balance of spice and subtle sweetness that lingers delightfully on the palate. Classic elements like crispy anchovies, crunchy peanuts, and a fluffy chopped omelette create a symphony of texture and flavor unique to this beloved establishment. A notably fresh touch is the generous serving of fried kangkung, a local leafy vegetable, which adds a green, slightly bitter contrast that perfectly complements the sambal's heat. This attention to authentic taste and quality elevates the dining experience beyond the ordinary.
Customers consistently praise the generous portion size and excellent value, with the basic nasi lemak plate priced around RM3.50 to RM4.50 – a steal for the wholesome experience. Beyond nasi lemak, adventurous diners have the option to explore additional lauk (side dishes) that expand the meal’s richness, although some menu items like kacang pool and bread have received mixed feedback, indicating a place that excels when sticking to its core specialties.
The atmosphere at Nasi Lemak Ujong Pasir 2 complements the food nicely – the setting is clean, cool, and comfortable with ceiling fans creating a breezy environment ideal for a laid-back breakfast or brunch. The staff's courteous and friendly service consistently enhances the welcoming feel, making this spot popular among both locals and visitors. The ample parking space and its strategic location opposite significant landmarks ensure easy accessibility.
While the restaurant shines brightly, one minor suggestion is the handling of kuih (traditional Malay cakes), which some customers have noted could benefit from better protection from flies – a small tweak that would make the overall cleanliness already rated highly even more impeccable.
Whether you are a Melaka local craving a comforting plate of nasi lemak or a traveler seeking a true taste of Malaysian breakfast culture, Nasi Lemak Ujong Pasir 2 delivers authenticity and satisfaction with every bite. The buzz on Sunday mornings with queues fully reflects its well-earned reputation, proving that this place is a culinary institution worthy of every food lover’s itinerary.

A very decent place to have your breakfast. Nasi lemak was good my rating 4/5 cleanliness 5/5. Highly recommended place to have nasi lemak. But the kuih place was infested with flies. Maybe they should keep it in a closed container. Anyway the staff were very courteous . I tried their kacang pool and bread but it was not up to expectations. Easily can be located as it is situated right opposite the Portuguese settlement entrance. .This is my view of the food taste . Based on my taste buds. If you find it otherwise, so be it. My ratings are based on cleanliness, service, food taste , and food prices. I give my personal honest opinion, not against or for the business entity

If you're in Melaka and craving a satisfying plate of nasi lemak, Nasi Lemak Ujong Pasir 2 is definitely worth a visit. The sambal is the star of the show , rich, spicy, and slightly sweet . exactly how a good sambal should be. The basic nasi lemak set comes with fragrant coconut rice, kangkung, chopped omelette, peanuts, and anchovies. What sets this place apart is the variety of lauk you can choose from. We ordered three packets with different combinations of sotong basah, sambal kerang, sambal paru, and rendang daging and even added a begedil. All the lauk were flavorful and fresh, especially the sambal paru which was spicy, tender, and full of taste. The portions of lauk are generous and fair for the price you pay. For 3 packed nasi lemak meals with premium lauk, the total came up to RM65, which is quite reasonable considering the quality and variety. The stall gets busy, especially in the morning, so it’s best to come early. Service is fast, and the food is consistently good. If you're in Melaka and looking for a local favourite that hits the spot, this is one place you shouldn't miss.

Never been to the actual place, just order via delivery. They always packed nicely, and the nasi lemak is nice. The sambal is just the way I like it, not too spicy with a bit of sweetness. The anchovies are crispy & not hard. Updated 2/11/25 Finally visited the place itself. The place was bustling with customers on Sunday morning. Definitely worth the queue, it's even better when dine there than delivery. Will attempt another visit again but during weekdays.
